    COMPASS is an online application for Pennsylvanians to apply for health and human services programs. The application includes Health Care benefits such as Medical Assistance, CHIP, and Medicaid for Former Foster Care Youth.     PA Law Project

    The PA Health Law Project works to ensure everyone has access to health care. Outside of advocating for the right to health care, the Law Project provides free legal services to any low-income resident of Pennsylvania having difficulty accessing publicly funded health care, whose health care has been terminated or reduced, or who have been denied Medicare (or similar health care programming). Additionally, the Law Project helps eligible residents apply for Medicare, responds to issues of denial of service (i.e. for prescriptions), and anyone struggling with their health care costs. The only requirement is income related, otherwise, the program is nondiscriminatory - there is a helpline which can be utilized for base information by anyone, regardless of income.     The Erie City Mission offers a monthly Women's Connection Ministry for women only, but the other programs offered by the Erie City Mission are for men, women, and children.

    Erie City Mission works to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those seeking assistance. The Women's Connection Ministry is a monthly outreach open to all women, seeking to foster friendship, support and spiritual growth that is offered the first Monday of the Month at 1017 French Street Erie, PA 16512 from 9:30AM-11:30AM. The mission serves a free public lunch to men, women, and children at two locations: The Mission Dining Room 1017 French Street (Monday-Sunday 11:00AM-12:30PM) and the San Juan United Methodist Church in Erie 1430 Buffalo Road Monday-Friday 11:00AM-1:00PM. The Mission also has a Family Care Center that serves as the Mission's free public food and clothing pantries; providing emergency groceries, personal care items, clothing and small household items to men, women, and children in need. A form of identification is needed in order to receive items from the pantries. There is no residency or income restrictions for guests needing the pantries. Guests of the food pantry are welcome weekly and guests of the clothing pantry are welcomed monthly. The Family Care Center is at 1230 French Street Erie, PA 16512 and the hours for the food pantry are Tuesday and Thursday (9AM-2PM) and for the clothing closet are Tuesday (12:30PM-2PM) and Thursday (9AM-10:30AM).

    Participants are required to be over the age of 60.

    The John F. Kennedy Senior Center provides community-based support for older individuals to live independently in their own home. Anyone 60 and over and their spouse (regardless of age) is eligible. Activities at the Senior Center include: cards, computers, walking club, volunteer opportunities, holiday parties, bingo, board games, fitness classes, health screens, day trips, bible study, and guest speakers. Home cooked lunch is prepared on site and served at 11:30AM Monday through Friday.
