The Adams County Office for Aging is a private non-profit agency dedicated to providing assistance to and advocacy for people age 60 and above within Adams County. Our mission is to assist people in maintaining independence and dignity within their own homes and communities. We offer a variety of services to support our age 60 and over population including; adult day care, senior centers, Lifeline systems, medical equipment loan, volunteer opportunities, tax preparation assistance, Medicare counseling, transportation, property tax and rent rebate assistance, protective services, legal services, and a variety of health and educational programs. For in-home care, individual can self-refer or a medical professional can refer as well. As for the other services, interested person should just call ahead and let them know they are coming.

The Allegheny Jail Collaborative is a program committed to reducing recidivism by both preparing inmates for reentry while incarcerated and helping them be successful people upon reentry into society. The program provides services for both inmates and returning citizens. For inmates, the program's services include behavioral therapy, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, classes on GED track, pre-vocational classes and vocational training, and family support. Reentry services include cognitive and behavioral therapy, a specialized Batterer Intervention Program, drug and alcohol assessment, housing services, GED, job placement and training, and transportation services.

Wesley Family Services provides services including licensed mental health and substance abuse programs, volunteer-based supports for older adults, residential services for persons with developmental and mental health disabilities, services for family members of incarcerated people, financial counseling, vocational and psychosocial rehabilitation, student assistance programs, and transitional youth programs. Programs and services are administered at different offices, so please search online to find the right service and office location.

The Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging offers programs and services for older adults residing in Armstrong County. The AAA connects individuals to seniors centers, housing, home delivered meals, legal assistance, in-home services, adult day care services, medical insurance counseling, transportation services, employment training and placement services, and more.

The Beaver County Office on Aging is committed to identifying the diverse needs of our aging population, providing quality services, preserving the dignity of the individual and advocating for the older person's rights. Programs and services available are the Apprise Program, health and insurance coverage counseling; senior garden plots; in-home services; care management services; adult day cares; senior centers; transportation assistance; home delivered meals; healthy living classes; etc. There are several senior centers throughout Beaver County that offer fitness classes, field trips, recreational games, fellowship, educational activities and hot, nutritious meals for those 60 years and older. TRAILS is a faith-based organization that offers supports to obtain necessary documentation (i.e. Social Security Card, Identification Documents, Birth Certificate, etc), mental health counseling, and drug and alcohol counseling. TRAILS also offers support in seeking employment, transportation, food, housing, clothing, and one-on-one and group mentoring.

The Center for Community Action (CCA) provides a variety of services and programs to low-income community residents. CCA provides assistance with accessing Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) services and employment (referrals must be made from the Department of Public Welfare). CCA also offers services for individuals at risk of homelessness or low-income homeowners and provides rental assistance, utility assistance, weatherization services, and other forms of housing assistance. CCA offers financial literacy workshops, GED classes, and adult education classes. Please note that CCA has offices in multiple counties.

The Huntingdon-Bedford-Fulton Area Agency on Aging provides services for older adults residing in Huntingdon, Bedford, and Fulton counties. The AAA provides assistance with accessing health insurance, rent and property tax rebates, meals, transportation (Shared Ride Program transportation and reduced fares), in-home services, home support, senior centers, and more. Please note that the AAA has offices in all three counties.

The Berks County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) provides services to older adults in Berks County. The Berks County AAA connects older adults with home delivered meals, adult daily living centers, senior community centers, transportation services, public health insurance, assistance for older adults who are raising minors, in-home supportive services (including home health services), health and wellness programs, and more.

Blair Senior Services is a non-profit corporation that aims to meet the needs of older adults in Blair County. This includes: case management, transportation, daily meals, educational and recreational activities at four different senior centers, abuse and abandonment protective services, and legal advocacy (Power of Attorney and guardianship services, wills and, long-term care complaints).

BeST TRANSIT operates a Door-to-Door transportation program for Bradford, Sullivan and Tioga counties. There are general public fixed routes and door-to-door shared routes. “Shared Ride” means that the service is open to the public but is not a taxi service. The Shared Ride service will pick you up at your door and transport you to your destination. Since the service is “Shared Ride”, there may be other persons on the vehicle besides you or the driver may need to pick up other passengers prior to dropping you off at your destination. Door-to-door shared rides are open to seniors, people with disabilities, and people with a Medical Assistance (MA) Card. General public has to pay a fee each way. Bucks County Transport is a private, non-profit organization that provides shared ride transportation services for all Bucks County residents. Seniors (ages 65+) receive a 15% discount on fares. All fares are available on their website for the shared-ride program. Before a trip can be scheduled, you have to register with Bucks County Transport either by calling 1-888-795-0740 or printing, completing, and mailing the application (which is available online). Scheduling hours are available 8:30AM-4:30PM and transportation is available Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM. Bucks County Transport asks for rides to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH) is an alliance of faith-based and community service organizations assisting unsheltered adults in Central Bucks County. Our first priority is to provide shelter on Code Blue nights. At the same time, we try to link the homeless and financially distressed to needed resources. CSSH only provides transportation to and from the shelter in the winter and to free community meals. There are free community meals the first, second, and third Sunday of the month. Please call ahead or check website to find out time and place, as well as if transportation there is needed.

The Butler County Area Agency on Aging provides services to Butler County residents. Services include home-delivered meals, counseling, health insurance counseling, legal assistance, meals, activities, and educational programs through senior centers, health programs, and transportation through Butler Area Rural Transit (BART).

The mission of the Cambria County Area Agency on Aging is to enhance the quality of life of older citizens of Cambria County by promoting their well-being, dignity, independence and safety through compassionate sponsorship of social service programs for aging adults. The Area Agency on Aging provides the following programs: Adult Day Care, Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Assessments, Care Management, Congregate Meals, Domiciliary Care, Family Caregiver Support Program, Foster Grandparents Program, Guardianship, Health Insurance Counseling, Home Delivered Meals, Home Security Program, Home Support, Information & Assistance, Nursing Home Transition, OBRA, Ombudsman, Protective Services, Personal Assistance Services, Personal Care, Senior Activities Centers, Transportation, Waiver.

Community Action Partnership of Cambria County is a private, non-profit agency that provides a wide variety of services which include: Early Childhood Programs/PA Pre-K counts, WIC related programs, medical assistance transportation, and fuel and housing assistance services as well. CAPCC is here for the people in our community and we are ready to serve them on a regular basis. Community services available for low-income clients are the Pennsylvania Customer Assistance Program (PCAP); the Dollar $ Energy Fund, Department of Public Welfare Rental Assistance Program; Medical Assistance Transportation Program; Veteran Back Pack Project; and the Family Savings Account Program.

The Office of Human Services (OHS) provides a wide range of services to older adults in Cameron, Elk, and McKean Counties. OHS assists older adults with accessing public health insurance counseling, in-home personal care services, nursing home transition services, counseling, transportation, in-home nursing services, senior centers, and more.

The Carbon County Area Agency on Aging helps individuals who are 60+ remain active in their communities by providing case management, transportation, volunteer opportunities, legal assistance, public benefit counseling, assistance with public benefit applications, access to senior centers and recreational activities, and in-home services.

The Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services provides a wide range of services for individuals with mental health conditions and/or developmental disabilities. The organization offers case management, crisis and emergency care, inpatient care, partial hospitalization, outpatient services, assistance with accessing housing, and life skills training to individuals with mental health conditions. The organization will also link individuals with developmental disabilities with service providers across multiple counties. Please note that Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services has an office in each county.

Central PA Community Action offers food programs, transportation, clothing services, employment and training programs, utility assistance programs, homeless prevention programs, weatherization programs, home repair programs and other services. The staff at CPCA is trained to help families resolve crisis situations and become more stable by providing ongoing, intensive support. To find out about the individual programs and eligibility requirements, please call the main number.

The Centre County Office of Aging provides services for seniors at six locations throughout the county. The services include: health insurance counseling for Medicare recipients, home delivered meals, investigations of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment of older adults, long-term care services, nursing home transition services, and casework services. The Office also provides funding to outside organizations for personal care services, transportation, adult day services, and legal assistance for those who qualify.

The Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) provides transportation to and from medical appointments, and prescription and medical equipment pickups for individuals receiving Medical Assistance through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. MATP is available Monday through Friday from 7:00am-5:30pm. Ride appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance during office hours between 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Individuals who receive Medical Assistance and live near public transit may be eligible for reimbursement of public transit fares through MATP. Individuals who receive Medical Assistance and use a personal vehicle to get to and from medical appointments may be eligible for gas mileage reimbursement. Interested individuals should contact Rover Community Transportation to register for the program.

Clarion Area Agency on Aging offers a wide range of programs and cooperates with many community agencies to provide a comprehensive network of services. The Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program provides eligible participants with $20 worth of vouchers to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at farmer’s markets. Additional programs include individual case management; transportation; prime time health classes; community education; home cooked meals; legal assistance; and in-home supportive care and services. The Agency has four Senior Centers located throughout Clarion County. The centers offer lunch, and a variety of recreational, social and educational opportunities. Participants enjoy programs, trips and entertainment along with varied evening activities. Community Action, Inc. is a premier organization dedicated to solving social and economic problems of the community. Among their programs are the Crossroads Project; Energy Conservation and Weatherization; Emergency Shelter and Rental Assistance; Food Pantry; Medical Assistance Transportation Program; Senior Corps-RSVP Project; and Supportive Services for Veteran Families.

The Lycoming-Clinton Counties for Community Action (STEP) Office of Aging provides assistance to older adults in Lycoming and Clinton Counties. STEP assists older adults with accessing home-delivered meals, senior centers, transportation services, health screenings and education, in-home services, health insurance counseling, legal services, case management services, assistance with transferring to or from a personal care facility, and more. Please note that there is a STEP office in both Lycoming and Clinton counties.

AGAPE is a non-denominational, faith-based program which provides a variety of services to residents of Montour and Columbia Counties. AGAPE provides a weekly hot meal, spiritual support groups, assistance with budgeting and saving, clothing and furniture, transportation, financial assistance, and more.

The Columbia-Montour Aging Office serves older adults in Columbia and Montour Counties. The Columbia-Montour Aging Office provides care-managed services, home health services, nursing home transition services, in-home services, adult day care services, access to senior centers, meals, health insurance counseling, legal assistance, free transportation services, and more. Please note that an individual may have to travel to Columbia County to receive certain services.

Active Aging, Inc. offers numerous services to individuals age 60 and above. They have six senior centers which provide meals, transportation, educational programs and wellness activities. They also have in-home services which provide personalized assessments, case management, home delivered meals and more. There are also counselors who provides public health insurance counseling.

Cumberland Aging and Community Services helps to connect older adults in Cumberland County with transportation services, senior centers, home-delivered meals, adult day service centers, health insurance counseling, caregiver support, and more.

CRESC is a network of caring professionals and community leaders whose purpose is to provide encouragement, hope and resources for the formerly incarcerated individuals. CRESC provides a variety of services, including mentoring, housing, employment, and referrals to other resources.

The Center for Community Building (CCB) is a Harrisburg-based private, nonprofit agency for community transportation. Since it’s founding in 1997, CCB’s mission has been to provide transportation to those in the community who need help with traveling to and from locations where and when transportation is lacking or nonexistent. Currently, CCB provides work related and non-emergency medical transportation services at low or no cost to riders. Interested individuals can apply online, by mail, fax, or phone.

CRAM, Inc. is a faith-based organization that provides pre-release, reentry, and ongoing support services to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals of any faith or background. CRAM, Inc. offers mentoring, substance use, GED preparation, computer and financial literacy, family reunification, and employment services. They also provide HIV/AIDS services, community service opportunities, and assistance with transportation.

The Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging provides various services for older adults. The Dauphin County AAA helps connect older adults with adult care programs, free civil legal services, transportation services, health classes (including healthy cooking, disease prevention, etc.), meal delivery services, senior centers, and health insurance counseling.

CAADC's goal is to help individuals rise out of poverty and become economically self sufficient. They provide a multitude of services, including transitional and emergency housing, homeless prevention assistance, employment training programs, and assistance with utilities and accessing affordable food and transportation. This organization has multiple offices, so please be sure to check online or call ahead to find out which office houses particular programs.

The Office of Human Services (OHS) provides a wide range of services to older adults in Cameron, Elk, and McKean Counties. OHS assists older adults with accessing public health insurance counseling, in-home personal care services, nursing home transition services, counseling, transportation, in-home nursing services, senior centers, and more.

By showing a Senior Identification card, anyone in Erie County can ride any EMTA bus for free. An application can be mailed or filled out at any of the EMTA officers. To receive the ID card, proof of age is required, which can be satisfied by the following documents: valid driver's license; birth certificate; armed forces discharge or separation papers; passport or naturalization papers; PACE card' statement of age verification by the Social Security Office; baptismal certificate; PennDot non-drivers license; veteran's universal access card; and resident alien card. The application can also be found on EMTA's website.

Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation (FACT) works to provide all Fayette County residents with quality public transportation services, regardless of age, income, or mobility requirements. Any Fayette County resident may use Shared Ride and all clients must pre-register for the service before requesting a trip. The fare depends on the purpose of the trip and if any of the various sources fund it. Clients may be eligible for one or more funding programs. Individuals aged 65 and older may use Shared Ride trips for a medical appointment, banking, grocery shopping, employment, post office, senior center, adult day care center, pharmacy, and visiting for immediate family members (spouse or children). Medical Assistance Transportation provides transportation for treatment, medical evaluation, or to purchase prescription drugs or medical equipment that is compensated by medical assistance.

Experience Inc. (Area Agency on Aging of Warren and Forest Counties) assists older adults with accessing a wide range of programs and services. Experience Inc. facilitates access to meal delivery services, personal care and home support, housing assistance, case management services, senior centers, transportation, educational classes, counseling and support groups, social activities, and more. Services are offered at multiple locations.

The Forest County Transportation Department provides free and low cost rides to Forest County residents. Individuals 65 and older receive free and discounted rides for medical, shopping, senior center, banking, etc. needs. Individuals on Medical Assistance with an Access Card and no registered vehicle within the household may ride for free to medical appointments only. Individuals with disabilities may ride for a small co-payment. The general public may also ride for a fee. Please check the website for more information about transportation fees. If you are interested in signing up for the program, stop by the Transportation Office in Marienville or the Forest County Commissioners Office at the Court Hose in Tionesta to fill our an application. Please take a photo ID with you for age verification.

The Franklin County Area Agency on Aging connects older adults in Franklin County with health insurance, home-delivered meals, senior centers, in-home care services, adult day care services, mental health services, legal services, personal care, nursing home transition assistance, and more.

Catholic Charities' Greene County Outreach offers services and programs to Greene County residents. Greene County Outreach provides assistance with obtaining utility assistance and meeting other emergency needs, counseling, disaster relief services, clothing and gasoline vouchers to job seekers, and referrals to social service providers when appropriate.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging aims to promote the well-being of older adults in Greene, Washington, and Fayette Counties through a wide range of programs and services. The agency assists older adults with accessing transportation, senior centers, care management, health and wellness programs, adult day care, free legal services (including assistance with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security benefits, public health insurance), and more. Please note that there is an office in each county.

Huntingdon-Bedford-Fulton Area Agency on Aging is a public agency under the jurisdiction of the Counties of Huntingdon, Bedford & Fulton. The agency is dedicated to serving the elderly of Huntingdon, Bedford, and Fulton Counties and provides a variety of in-home services; specialized services; transportation services; PACE and PACENET Programs; Property Tax and Rent Rebate; and Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. The progam's message is based on the Bible and every program is rooted in service. Among its principle ministry services, the Huntingdon Worship & Service Center offers rental assistance, food boxes, volunteer opportunities, and case management services that can meet the individual needs of the client.

Aging Services Inc. provides a variety of services and programs to older adults in Indiana County. Aging Services assists older adults with accessing transportation, meals, home support, life skills education at adult day care centers, in-home medical services, placement services, public health insurance counseling, and more. Aging Services Inc. uses a cost-sharing system and costs vary based on the desired services and an individual's income. (Therefore, certain services are free for eligible individuals.)

The Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging provides services to older adults in Lackawanna County. The Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging assists older adults with accessing senior community centers (which offer computer classes and social activities), adult daily living centers, in-home care services, health insurance, home-delivered meals, transportation services, and more.

The Lancaster County Office of Aging provides services to older adults in Lancaster County. The Office of Aging connects older adults with transportation, home-delivered meals, health insurance counseling, senior centers, in-home care services, placement services, counseling, and more.

Challenges Center is an innovative community facility offering a wide variety of educational, recreational and health-related activities to help support the independence of adults ages 50+ who live in Lawrence County. While many of the Center's offerings are free, others require membership and/or separate fees.

Lawrence County Community Action Partnership is made up of three agencies that seek to involve the community in assessing local needs and attacking the causes and conditions of poverty. They are: Lawrence County Social Services, Inc., United Community Services of Lawrence County, Inc., and Allied Coordinated Transportation Services, Inc. Lawrence County Community Action Partnership reaches out to low-income people to address their multiple needs through a comprehensive approach, develops partnerships with other community organizations, involves clients in agency's operations, and administers a full range of coordinated programs designed to have a measurable impact on poverty. Among its many services, Lawrence County Community Action Partnership provides support in the following areas: Education; employment; emergency and community services; individual and family services; housing rehabilitation; senior services; transportation; and youth programs.

The mission of the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging is to develop, coordinate and promote a continuum of services that values and supports older adults as they age; empowers them to maintain independence, dignity and respect; and enhances their overall well-being and quality of life.

Lebanon County Community Action Partnership provides an array of services to Lebanon County residents through a variety of programs. Services include child care assistance, transportation, case management, rental assistance, shelter assistance, bridge and transitional housing, shelter housing, information and referral, job readiness, and life skills education.

Lehigh County Office Of Aging and Adult Services provides a variety of services to older adults in Lehigh County. The Office of Aging and Adult Services connects individuals to home delivered meals, assessment and care management, nursing home transition, case management services, senior centers (which provide meals, social activities, computer classes, and more), housing services, adult day centers, public health insurance counseling, personal care services, transportation services, and more.

MCCT offers a door-to-door shuttle service for all residents of Mercer County. Fares vary according to the length of trip, and exact cash payment is required. All trips must be scheduled by 2:00 pm the day before your requested trip. Note, senior citizens over the age of 65, individuals with a registered disability and most residents qualifying for medical assistance within Pennsylvania receive free or discounted trips.

The Mifflin-Juniata Area Agency on Aging Inc. (MJAAA) will foster, promote and provide for the development of a comprehensive coordinated service system for persons over the age of 60, within the Counties of Mifflin and Juniata, that enable aging with independence, dignity and respect.

The Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services (AAS) provides services to older adults in Montgomery County. Montgomery County AAS assists older adults with accessing in-home care, nursing homes, classes at Montgomery County Community College, public health insurance, senior centers, care management services, home delivered meals, transportation services, in-home behavioral health services, and more. Please note that services are offered at multiple locations in Montgomery County.

AGAPE is a non-denominational, faith-based program which provides a variety of services to residents of Montour and Columbia Counties. The Northampton Area Agency on Aging connects older adults in Northampton County with a wide range of services. The agency assists older adults with accessing health insurance, adult day care services, transportation, home-delivered meals, nursing home transition services, personal care services, senior centers, in-home care services, emergency energy assistance, income tax assistance, free legal services, and referrals to other services.

The Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging provides support to older adults in Northumberland County. The Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging helps to connect older adults with senior centers, health insurance counseling, transportation, in-home care services, home-delivered meals, personal care services, and more.

Join Hands is a collaborative community outreach program providing direction, intervention and support to persons facing a variety of daily living challenges in Perry County. Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) are local aging programs that provide information and services on a range of assistance for older adults and those who care for them. By contacting your local agency you get access to critical information including: Available services in your area; Mobility assistance programs; Meal Delivery; Housing; Assistance in gaining access to services; Individual counseling, support groups and caregiver training; Respite care; and many other supplemental services, on a limited basis.

The mission of the Perry County Literacy Council (PCLC) is to provide educational programs for Perry County residents and their families that will enable them to better function as productive, responsible citizens. All of our programs are 100% free; we tailor our instruction to the individual’s needs and deliver it via one-to-one tutoring and small classes. At PCLC, we provide all of our services at no cost to the student. The only required payment is one-half of the fee for the GED® or HiSET® exam; the other half is covered by PCLC’s Scholarship Fund. PCLC offers a variety of job training courses and can put you in contact with potential employers and other career resources that will help lead you to new employment opportunities. In addition to education and employment assistance, PCLC offers a variety of social services on-site or through referral.

CATCH provides treatment, training and education, residential and family support services. It is aimed at people with cognitive delays, behavioral health issues, intellectual disabilities, and substance use challenges. This agency has multiple locations, please check the website to find out which offices are closest to you.

Lutheran Settlement House (LSH) is committed to serving children, adults, and families in Philadelphia. Programs and services include: Bilingual Domestic Violence Program (BDVP), Community Education and Employment Department (CEED), Homeless Services (Jane Addams Place), Senior Services (Senior Center), Medical Advocacy, and Caregivers Reducing Stress (CARES). Lutheran Settlement House also provides adults with literacy, basic education, GED preparation, computer class instruction, and career-readiness training.

This organization provides a broad range of services for senior citizens. Services include: care at home, advocacy, caregiver support, employment assistance, health promotion, home repair, information and referral, legal assistance, home-delivered meals, protective services, senior community centers, transportation, and many more. Special consideration is given to those with the greatest social, economic, and health needs. PCA employs more than 700 people and provides some services directly; others are provided under subcontracts with 200 community organizations and service providers.

Philadelphia Unemployment Project (PUP) has assisted thousands of unemployed and low-income workers in their job searches and in their dealings with tax and mortgage problems, unemployment compensation, welfare, and health care. PUP also provides Commuter Options (PUPCO), which provides affordable transportation to jobs in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

The Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services provides a wide range of services for individuals with mental health conditions and/or developmental disabilities. The organization offers case management, crisis and emergency care, inpatient care, partial hospitalization, outpatient services, assistance with accessing housing, and life skills training to individuals with mental health conditions. The organization will also link individuals with developmental disabilities with service providers across multiple counties. Please note that Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services has an office in each county.

The Potter County Area Agency on Aging provides support to older adults in Potter County. The Potter County Area Agency on Aging helps to connect older adults with senior centers, health insurance counseling, transportation, in-home care services, home-delivered meals, personal care services, and more.

The Schuylkill Office of Senior Services provides a variety of services and programs to older adults in Schuylkill County. The Office of Senior Services assists older adults with accessing adult day services, care management, senior centers, meal-delivery services, transportation, counseling, home health support, public health insurance counseling, and more.

The Union-Snyder Community Action Agency (CAA) provides a wide range of services to individuals living in Union and Snyder Counties. The CAA provides various types of energy assistance (including assisting low-income individuals with lowering their monthly energy and electric bills and providing electric bill debt forgiveness), transportation assistance, a transitional housing program, financial assistance to individuals or families facing eviction, adult education classes, computer classes, employment skills classes, food pantry referrals, and more. Please note that there are multiple locations and individuals may have to travel to Union County to receive certain services.

The Community Action Agency serving Somerset County, is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to meet basic needs, achieve their goals and discover their potential. By utilizing diverse resources and developing community partnerships, our experienced, dedicated and compassionate team provides high quality, seamless services and advocates for the adults, children, families and communities we serve.

Trehab - A Community Action Agency provides a variety of services and programs to individuals across multiple counties in Pennsylvania. Services for Susquehanna County residents include weatherization, transportation, case management services, emergency food and housing programs, housing assistance, utility assistance, workforce development, and substance use treatment programs. Please note that these services are offered in multiple offices in Susquehanna County.

The Calvary United Methodist Church operates a food pantry (Strait From the Heart), which open on the third Thursday of each month (from 2:00pm-6:00pm). Please note income verification is required for food distribution. The church also operates a clothing closet, which is open to the community on the third Thursday of each month from 11:30am-1:30pm and 2:00pm-6:00pm. In certain circumstances, the church may be able to provide financial assistance to meet rent, transportation assistance, food, or medical needs. Please call for additional information.

Mustard Seed Missions is a collaboration between local churches in Venango County and the Venango County Department of Human Services. Mustard Seed Missions provides home repairs, home furnishings, and rides to medical appointments outside of the county to individuals who are currently receiving services through any Venango County Human Services Department.

The VenanGo Bus offers public transportation throughout Venango County. It has routes around Oil City, Franklin, and Intercity that run between 7:30am and 6:00pm. Fares are $1.50 for adults and free for seniors 65+. Please contact the Venango County Transportation Office for more information.

The Venango County Area Agency on Aging offers services and programs to older adults in the community. The Area Agency on Aging assists individuals with accessing health insurance counseling, congregate meals, home modification services, free legal services (including assistance with benefits, rights, wills, and taxes), home care and support, senior centers (which provide meals and social groups), personal assistance services, transportation, and more.

The Venango County Office of Economic Opportunity provides low-income individuals with home weatherization assistance and transportation services.

Experience, Inc. offers a range of in-home and community-based services to help seniors to have a good quality of life and to remain independent as long as possible. Our professional staff is trained to recognize areas of concern and need and to provide appropriate services and referrals for assistance. Experience, Inc. sponsors Warren and Forest Senior Community Centers. Senior Centers offer a variety of programs and services to help senior citizens maintain their independence, vitality, and provide a place for seniors to have the opportunity to meet other seniors through social interaction. Programs include activities, educational classes, counseling and support groups, volunteer opportunities, and wellness programs. Warren and Forest County Senior Centers also offer meals, help with financial and medical paperwork, transportation, and other social services.

First Presbyterian Church (FPC) welcomes all people to gather as the family of faith in order to engage in worship to learn about God and to reach out in service. We invite you to join us for worship, one of our Bible studies, a discussion group, or one of our fellowship events to experience our community and discover how FPC challenges your faith to grow through worship and action. For those who are interested, there are different opportunities to get involved in music ministry, christian education, and small faith groups. FPC offers care to its congregation in a variety of different ways, one being a weekly Thursday night dinner from 4:30-5:30 pm for all those in need and who are hungry.

Catholic Charities' Washington County Outreach offers services and programs to Washington County residents. Washington County Outreach provides assistance with obtaining utility assistance and meeting other emergency needs, counseling, and referrals to social service providers when appropriate.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging aims to promote the well-being of older adults in Greene, Washington, and Fayette Counties through a wide range of programs and services. The agency assists older adults with accessing transportation, senior centers, care management, health and wellness programs, adult day care, free legal services (including assistance with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security benefits, public health insurance), and more. Please note that there is an office in each county.

The Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging provides services to older adults in Westmoreland County. The Westmoreland County AAA connects older adults with adult day care services, care management services, home health services, home-delivered meals, personal care services, health insurance, free legal services, senior centers (which provide meals, computer classes, social activities, and more), and transportation. Services may be provided at no cost, a sliding fee scale, or subject to some form of cost-sharing.

The Medical Assistance Transportation Program, also known as MATP, provides transportation to medical appointments for Medical Assistance recipients who do not have transportation available to them. The individual’s county of residence will provide the type of transportation that is the least expensive while still meeting their needs.
