New Hope Shelter is a faith-based emergency shelter open to men, women, and families with children. Individuals and families may reside there for up to 30 days, while receiving two meals a day, employment assistance, computer training, life skills classes, and clothing from the thrift store. Society of St. Vincent de Paul Altoona-Johnstown Diocese
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Altoona-Johnstown Diocese operates Food For Families consisting of two food banks and two Family Kitchens, as well as five food pantries. The Society runs eight thrift stores filled with used, new, or vintage items, all the proceeds go towards those in need. Although the items are priced in order to meet anyone's pocket book, the Society will make every effort to help those in need with items. To address larger needs, a Home Visitor will go to the home of a needy person make an assessment and authorize assistance to supply furniture, appliances or other large household items. The Society assists with other financial needs such as, rent, utilities, medical expenses, and many other basic needs.
There are always volunteer opportunities to staff the thrift stores or community gardens that the Society runs to assist those in need with clothing, household items, and fresh produce. Please call for more information.

Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless
Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH) is an alliance of faith-based and community service organizations
assisting unsheltered adults in Central Bucks County. Our first priority is to provide shelter on Code Blue nights. At the same time, we try to link the homeless and financially distressed to needed resources. CSSH only provides transportation to and from the shelter in the winter and to free community meals. There are free community meals the first, second, and third Sunday of the month. Please call ahead or check website to find out time and place, as well as if transportation there is needed.

The Zion United Church of Christ (Lehighton) offers a community meal on the last Thursday of each month (5:30pm-7:00pm), a food pantry on the last Thursday of each month (6:00pm-7:00pm), and a weekly lunch on Wednesdays (11:00-12:30pm). Please note that individuals interested in the food pantry must meet certain income requirements (although no proof of income is not required) and provide proof of address to demonstrate residence in the Lehighton area.

First United Methodist Church of Clarion
First United Methodist Church of Clarion is a faith community that offers a number of worship services Sundays and Wednesdays. There are a variety of ministries for those who are looking to explore and connect to their faith. In addition, First United Methodist Church operates outreach programs including a monthly food pantry and a weekly hot meal. Love Cupboard is the name of the food pantry and distribution is from 4:30 pm–6:30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Individuals and families are able to receive food and hygiene products once each month. Photo identification is required to receive items. Food for Friends is an outreach to the community. Different organizations sign up to cook and serve the meal each week and many of the church classes, committees and groups participate on a regular basis. A hot meal is served at The First Presbyterian Church of Clarion (700 Wood Street) at 5:00 pm every Wednesday. Dinner guests should not arrive until 4:45 pm.

The Trinity United Methodist Church has a community food bank (participants are required to provide names, social security numbers, birthdates, and income amounts for everyone in the household. The food bank is open from Monday-Thursday; 10:00am-3:00pm (it is closed the Third Wednesday of each month and all major holidays). The Trinity Cares Lunch Program also provides lunch every Wednesday from 11:15am-12:15pm.

The Living Waters Food Ministry distributes fresh produce, grocery items, and non-food essentials to low income individuals in Crawford County once a month. Five Forks Brethren in Christ
Five Forks Church Brethren in Christ offers a food pantry and clothing closet. The food pantry is available to residents of Waynesboro and Greencastle School District. Individuals are required to show two forms of identification and proof of current address. Proof of address may be in the form of an electric bill, Social Security documentation (not a card), phone bill, or public assistance documentation). Individuals are able to receive one order of food per month. Additionally, Five Forks offers free clothing to individuals regardless of residency (no paperwork is required). The food pantry and clothing closet are generally open for several hours on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays (please call for additional information about hours of operation).

Jubilee Aftercare seeks to assist those who have been incarcerated, homeless, and/or struggle with addiction to make a successful transition back into society. Aftercare students must attend faith-based and life skills classes. Students work at the Jubilee thrift store for a minimum of 500 hours of job training, after which students may have the opportunity to extend their employment or seek employment elsewhere.

The Salvation Army Dental Center accepts all state Medicaid insurances and discounted rates for individuals without insurance.
