The Connection Traning Services mission is to provide economic, housing and social services for the disadvantaged populations of Philadelphia and to enable participants to forge a path towards self-sufficiency and a better quality of life.
Connection Training Services Training-To-Work Adult Reentry Program offers vocational training in forklift operations, scaffold erection, PENNDOT highway faller, and OSHA construction safety. Referrals are available to partnering vocational trade schools, offering state-licensed training in the following career fields with possible tuition vouchers or scholarships: air quality management, automotive technician, construction trades, culinary arts, fiber optics and data communications installation, forklift operator, lead paint abatement, Microsoft Office specialist, naval welding apprenticeship, robotic manufacturing technician, storm water run-off management, truck driver license, urban gardening and landscaping, weatherization, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning. CTS also offers courses in job preparation with job placement, life skills, computer applications, and personal finance. Additionally, CTS offers an Access to Recovery Program to support those who are recovery from past substance and/or alcohol abuse.
